Meet the imaginative children's book author "bee"hind Magic Hive Books, Jordan Butler! Raised in a small town in the heart of Kansas, Jordan discovered her love for books at a young age, thanks to her talented reader/writer mother and their frequently scheduled DEAR times (Drop Everything And Read), in which they would simply spend quality time together, each immersed in her own book.

Jordan has always been captivated by the power of words and the enchanting worlds they create between two covers. Her childhood days were filled with nature walks, talking with & caring for animals, and of course, reading books. However, as she got older, her focus shifted more towards science than literature. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Kansas State University, Jordan set out to develop her natural gift as a healer and became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2014. Shortly after starting her career as a chiropractor in the Kansas City metro area, Jordan became a mother and subsequently rediscovered her delight in children's books. She was soon sparked to write her own.

 

 Inspired by the simple joys of life and the endless possibilities of the imagination, Jordan Butler's stories are a delightful blend of humor and heart with a touch of magic. Her charming characters and whimsical tales inspire young minds to dream big, embrace their uniqueness, and cherish the joy found within her stories. With each book, Jordan invites children to join her on a journey of imagination, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the magic of childhood is celebrated the way sunflowers celebrate the sun.

When she's not crafting magical stories, Jordan can be found in her cozy reading/writing nook with Chief, her St. Bernard, reheating her cold coffee on repeat, fulfilling unending snack orders and daydreaming about the next enchanting adventure she can't wait to share with her readers.
